As co-founder and Director of Nifty UK Radio, Simon has spent decades in broadcasting, building stations, developing talent and living and breathing local radio. His experience, knowledge and passion have helped shape Nifty UK Radio into the station it is today.
By day, Simon is helping steer the future of the station. By night, he swaps the boardroom for the studio, bringing two hours of great music, relaxed conversation and the perfect soundtrack to round off your day.
Don't let the calm, professional approach fool you though. If you've heard Big Al on air, you'll know Simon is regularly on the receiving end of some wonderfully creative abuse, affectionately nicknamed "Pig Vomit." It's all part of the long-running banter between two great friends who love nothing more than winding each other up. Secretly, of course, there's a huge amount of mutual respect... although neither of them would ever admit it on air!
Simon believes radio should be warm, welcoming and effortless to listen to. No gimmicks, no shouting, just brilliant music, engaging conversation and the sort of company that makes late evenings feel that little bit more enjoyable.
