Rick Parker is an experienced thespian—which is the theatrical term for someone who can remember three pages of dialogue but still forget where he left his car keys.

A massive Mossley fan, Rick has spent years mastering the emotional resilience required to support a football club without the assistance of billionaire owners, international superstars or a documentary narrated by Ryan Reynolds.

Although relatively new to radio, Rick has already embraced the essential broadcasting skills: talking confidently when nobody answers back, pretending the equipment makes perfect sense and nodding thoughtfully whenever somebody mentions “the levels.”

Away from the microphone, Rick can usually be found treading the boards, watching Mossley, or dramatically entering an ordinary room as though the second act depends upon it.

There are some exciting things lined up for Rick at Nifty UK Radio. We can’t reveal everything just yet—partly because it’s a surprise and partly because Rick is still learning which button turns his microphone on.

Expect famous tunes, theatrical flair, footballing optimism and absolutely no guarantee that anything will finish at the scheduled time.
