Studio 4

🧠 Inside Nifty Towers: Studio 4 – The Control Deck ðŸš¨

Studio 4 isn’t just a studio – it’s mission control for Nifty UK Radio. A sleek, high-spec haven for the technically inclined, this place is packed with more IT than the control room at NASA. Every screen flicker, every fader move, every perfectly timed station ID? It’s all commanded from here.

This is where Big Al spends most of his waking hours – programming the station, fixing broken audio, uploading shows, building schedules, and occasionally throwing things when the software doesn’t listen. Right by his side (or at a safe distance) is Producer Tim, helping manage the controlled chaos and making sure the place doesn’t spontaneously combust.

You’ll find everything in here – patch bays, racks, mixers, four billion cables, walls adorned with neon edged images to make it look like a scene from "2001: A Space Odyssey" and screens for days. If a pointy-head could design paradise, this would be it. Touch the wrong thing, and you might accidentally shut down FM in Finland.

Overlooking Oldham Town Centre through a massive arched window, Studio 4 boasts the best view in Nifty Towers – though most of the time, the blinds are drawn and everyone’s arguing with a bit of software no one remembers installing.

Ask Al who this studio belongs to and he’ll tell you, with absolute certainty:
“Studio 4 belongs to me. Nobody else touches anything.”

And he’s not joking.
